Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum, and its incidence has been rapidly increasing in Japan in recent years. In its early stages, symptoms are mild (e.g., chancres, rashes) and often difficult to notice, and if left untreated, it can cause serious effects throughout the body.

At our clinic, we use blood tests (RPR, TPHA, etc.) to check for syphilis infection and its progression. Depending on the test results, treatment will be administered with penicillin-based antibiotics.

Early detection and early treatment are crucial. If diagnosed in the early stages (Stage 1 or 2), it can be completely cured with outpatient treatment. Advanced syphilis requires long-term treatment.

If your partner also gets tested and treated at the same time, reinfection (ping-pong infection) can be prevented.

This product requires an in-person visit to our clinic. Payment can be made after your visit and consultation.

For Treponema pallidum infection, diagnosis is made by blood test. Treatment with penicillin antibiotics is standard.

1 to 5 minutes, including the consultation time.

Regarding charges

If you pay in advance, there is no consultation fee. Only the displayed price will be charged.

If payment is made after your visit, a first consultation fee (3,300 yen including tax) will be charged for services under 10,000 yen.

Side effects

・Bruising and pain at the blood collection site
・Side effects from antibiotics: rarely, rash or diarrhea
・Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction (temporary fever, etc., at the start of treatment)

Precautions for Use

・Early detection and treatment are crucial for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). If you have any suspicious symptoms, seek medical attention promptly.
・Refrain from sexual intercourse during treatment and do not resume until fully cured.
・Simultaneous testing and treatment of your partner can prevent reinfection.
・If you are pregnant, please inform us as STIs can affect the fetus.

Contraindications - Those Who Cannot Use This Product

No restrictions (for examination purposes)

However, this examination alone is not suitable in the following cases:

  • Acute symptoms such as high fever or severe pain
  • Suspected emergencies such as bleeding or loss of consciousness
  • When a doctor determines that an in-person consultation is necessary
