Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections in Japan. It is an infection caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis, and because both men and women often experience no noticeable symptoms, it can progress undetected.

At our clinic, we quickly check for the presence of Chlamydia infection using urine tests (for men), vaginal discharge tests (for women), and pharyngeal swab tests. Treatment with antibiotics is provided based on the test results.

In most cases, treatment with antibiotics for 1 to 2 weeks leads to a complete cure. Early treatment can significantly reduce the risk of complications such as infertility.

By having partners also undergo testing and treatment simultaneously, reinfection (ping-pong infection) can be prevented.

This product requires an in-person visit to our clinic. Payment can be made after your visit and consultation.

Chlamydia trachomatis infection is rapidly diagnosed with urine, secretion, and throat tests. Treatment is with antibiotics such as Zithromax.

1 to 5 minutes, including the consultation time.

Regarding charges

If you pay in advance, there is no consultation fee. Only the displayed price will be charged.

If you pay after your visit and the amount is less than 10,000 yen, a first-visit fee (3,300 yen including tax) will be charged.

Side effects

・Discomfort at the collection site during the test (urine test, swab collection)
・Side effects of antibiotics: diarrhea, nausea, rash (rare)

Precautions for Use

・Early detection and treatment are crucial for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). If you have any suspicious symptoms, seek medical attention promptly.
・Refrain from sexual intercourse during treatment and do not resume until fully cured.
・Simultaneous testing and treatment of your partner can prevent reinfection.
・If you are pregnant, please inform us as STIs can affect the fetus.

Contraindications - Those Who Cannot Use This Product

No restrictions (for examination purposes)

However, this examination alone is not suitable in the following cases:

  • Acute symptoms such as high fever or severe pain
  • Suspected emergencies such as bleeding or loss of consciousness
  • When a doctor determines that an in-person consultation is necessary
