This is an inactivated vaccine that prevents the onset and severe progression of influenza (Type A and Type B) infections. It is manufactured each year based on WHO recommendations to match the prevalent strains, so vaccination every season is recommended. Antibodies form 2-3 weeks after vaccination, and the effect lasts for about 5 months.

This product requires an in-person visit to our clinic. Payment can be made after your visit and consultation.

Effects and benefits

While not completely preventing infection, it significantly reduces the risk of developing symptoms, severe illness, hospitalization, and death.

It is reported to have a 30-60% efficacy in preventing symptoms in adults and a 40-50% efficacy in preventing pneumonia and hospitalization in the elderly.

Antibodies are formed 2-3 weeks after vaccination and last for approximately 5 months.

Estimated time required

From the examination to vaccination and observation, it usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes.

Side effects

The main side effects are as follows. Serious side effects (such as anaphylaxis) are rare.

  • Redness, swelling, and pain at the injection site (10-20%)
  • Fever, fatigue, headache (a few percent)
  • Allergic reactions within 30 minutes of vaccination (very rare)
Precautions for Use

接種後15〜30分は院内で様子を観察させていただきます。当日は激しい運動・飲酒を避け、接種部位は清潔に保ってください。

他のワクチンとの同時接種は不活化ワクチン同士は問題ありません。生ワクチンとは27日以上空けてください。

  • 明らかな発熱（37.5℃以上）のある方
  • 重篤な急性疾患にかかっている方
  • 過去に本剤の成分で重いアレルギー症状を起こした方
  • 強い鶏卵アレルギーのある方は事前にご相談ください

  • Ages 13 and over: 1 dose (0.5mL subcutaneous injection)
  • Under 13 years old: 2 doses (2-4 week interval)

Based on the medical questionnaire, the doctor will conduct an examination and counseling. If there are no issues found during the examination, the procedure will be performed.

*If you complete the web medical questionnaire in advance, the procedure will be smoother.

*If the doctor determines that the prescription cannot be issued during the examination, the fee will be refunded. If you visit without prior payment, a self-pay initial consultation fee of 3,300 yen will be charged.
