MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, and rubella)

Plan 1st time

商品概要

This is a combined live vaccine that prevents both measles and rubella. Both diseases are highly contagious, and infection in adults tends to be severe, so additional vaccination is recommended for those with insufficient antibodies. A single dose provides over 95% protection, and the effect is long-lasting.

This product requires an in-person visit to our clinic. Payment can be made after your visit and consultation.

Effects and benefits

A single dose provides over 95% protection against both measles and rubella, and nearly everyone acquires immunity after two doses.

The protection is long-lasting, with virtually lifelong immunity expected.

Sufficient antibodies are acquired approximately 4 weeks after vaccination.

Estimated time required

The process from consultation to vaccination to observation usually takes about 15-30 minutes.

Regarding charges

One dose: 9,900 JPY (tax included) / Antibody testing also available at our clinic

Side effects

Because it is a live vaccine, mild measles and rubella symptoms may appear 5–14 days after vaccination.

  • Redness and swelling at the injection site (a few percent)
  • Fever 5–14 days after injection (approx. 20%)
  • Rash (a few percent)
  • Transient lymph node swelling and joint pain (rare in adult women)
Precautions for Use

Since this is a live vaccine, please confirm that no other live vaccines (BCG, chickenpox, mumps, etc.) have been administered within one month prior to vaccination.

Women of childbearing potential must confirm they are not pregnant before vaccination and must practice reliable contraception for two months after vaccination.

If you have received a gamma globulin preparation, please wait approximately six months before vaccination.
